Cancellation and refunds

The subscription is paid by the league admin. Members who only join a desk are not charged by us, so there is nothing for them to refund.

2. The price

£3.99 per league / month, in pounds sterling. VAT is added or included as required by law. You pay for each league desk you own. Members are free.

A new admin’s first desk starts with a 7-day free trial. We take a card at checkout but do not charge it until the trial ends. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing and there is nothing to refund. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Charges go through Stripe on the renewal date. You can cancel from league settings or by emailing hello@fpldesk.com.

3. 14-day cooling-off (UK consumers)

If you buy as a consumer in the UK, you usually have 14 days from the day the subscription starts to cancel for any reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

The service is digital and starts as soon as you wrap a league and use the desk. By starting to use it during the cooling-off period you acknowledge that, if you then cancel, we may deduct an amount for the service already supplied (a pro-rata of the monthly fee).

To exercise that right, email hello@fpldesk.com from the address on your account with the league name. Any clear statement of cancellation will do; you do not have to use a particular form of words. We will stop the subscription and refund what you paid, less a proportionate deduction for the days you had the desk, within 14 days.

Manage billing in league settings is not the cooling-off route. It stops the subscription at the end of the period you have paid for and does not issue a refund, so if you want money back inside the first 14 days, email us.

4. Cancelling after cooling-off

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused days of a period that has already started, except where the law requires it or we choose to as a gesture of goodwill.

After access ends, the desk may be frozen or removed. FPL itself is unchanged. Pot ledgers are records on FPL Desk, not money we hold.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we email the admin and Stripe retries the card over the following days. The desk stays open for everyone until the end of the period already paid for. If the payment has still not gone through by then, the desk is suspended until the card is updated.

Re-subscribing starts a new billing period. We are not obliged to restore a league that has been deleted.

6. If something is wrong

If the service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, UK consumer law may entitle you to a repeat performance or a price reduction. Email hello@fpldesk.com with what went wrong and we will look at it.

Outages at Fantasy Premier League, or arguments about official FPL scores, are outside what we can refund.

7. Pot money

We never collect last-place stakes. There is no pot refund from us because we never held the cash. Settling your side game is between the managers.

8. Referrals

A referred admin’s first month is a free trial, not a paid period, so there is nothing to refund for that month. That month replaces the usual 7-day free trial rather than stacking on top of it. The referrer’s desk only earns a free month once the referred admin has paid two real invoices, so cancelling during the trial or after a single paid month means no credit is due. That credit is applied to a future invoice on the referrer’s paying desk; it is not a cash refund and cannot be withdrawn.

9. Price changes

If we change the price, we will give the admin at least 14 days’ notice before it applies to a renewal. If you do not want the new price, cancel before that renewal.
